TV QUERY TAXES CHARLIE’S PATIENCE

The normally unflappable Charles Rangel blew his stack on TV yesterday, insisting that accusations about his ethics have “no merit” and “no facts.”

The Harlem Democrat was asked on “Fox News Sunday” how he can have tax problems and serve as the chairman of the tax-writing House Ways and Means Committee.

“Nobody has ever accused me, except [the media], of wrongdoing,” retorted Rangel. “Just because [the media] . . . has a problem with me doesn’t mean the Congress has a problem.”

The House Ethics Committee has been probing why Rangel failed to pay taxes on at least $75,000 rental income from a Dominican Republic villa.
