Reggie Miller: Knicks not making the playoffs

Don’t expect to see any Knicks playoff games this year, according to one former tormentor of the team.

“I personally say no. I don’t think they’ll be able to make up ground,” TNT analyst Reggie Miller told The Post in a phone interview.

Entering Wednesday’s game against the Kings at the Garden, the Knicks are two games behind the Bobcats in the loss column for the eighth and final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference and two and a half games back overall. The Knicks are also two games behind the Pistons, who sit in ninth place.

“I just don’t see the Knicks making up any games or going on an eight-, nine-game winning streak,” Miller said. “I don’t see that happening. I think we’re all surprised. We had New York as the fifth-best team in the Eastern Conference when we started the season. The talent they have and with Carmelo [Anthony], I’m surprised they’ve been struggling this much. They’re losing at home, they’re losing to a lot of sub-.500 teams.”

As for Anthony, Miller isn’t sure what the Knicks star will do once he hits free agency, but he isn’t optimistic.

“If you asked me this question at the beginning of the year, I would say yes [he will stay],” Miller said. “Losing has a way of changing people. At the end of the day, Carmelo wants to win, and look at the Knicks roster, I’m not quite sure he can win.”
