PLAX’S PAL A TWEET-LE DUM DUM

MINUTES after he told a grand jury he did nothing in the Plaxico Burress mess, Giants linebacker and fellow twit Antonio Pierce couldn’t wait to post this cocky tweet on Twitter:

“Which way to ALBANY? someone just told me.”

Albany is the location of the Giants’ training camp, where the team is heading tomorrow. And Pierce, who’s been playing the victim in the Plax debacle, posted the arrogant message immediately after singing to the grand jury — confident he’ll skate free of criminal charges.

All week, Pierce has been posting wacky and ornery messages like this one, destined to be a classic:

“I said this last week! There are certain people that don’t want to see 58 around!” he wrote Monday, referring to his jersey number.

“but guess what i am not going anywhere!!!!” he wrote.

Pierce swears he isn’t about the money.

“If you ready to whoop ass MAKE SOME DAMN NOISE!!!! i will bust my B@LLS for NY this yr. nothing about $$ just some F@$kin RESPECT/ ”

I’ll bet.

“sometimes u have to Draw a line in the Stand and see what side PEOPLE are on.. Well damn heres the Line!! where do u stand? let it be known,” he wrote to his fans.

“A coward dies many deaths but a soldier only dies ONCE!!”

This idiot athlete clearly thinks a lot of himself.

Pierce spent his second half-day yesterday before a grand jury who will decide whether to indict Burress on criminal charges for shooting himself in the leg with an illegal Glock while drinking champagne inside an East Side nightclub last November.

Pierce is accused of driving Plaxico to a hospital and delivering the weapon to Burress’ Jersey home.

But while Plax emerged from the district attorney’s office Wednesday saying he was “remorseful” for his actions, Pierce showed no regrets.

“We’re extremely confident that [the grand jury] is going to come down with the conclusion that we’ve been saying for many months — that Mr. Pierce acted responsibly, intelligently and as any responsible citizen would have acted under similar circumstances,” his lawyer, Michael Bachner, said, predicting there would be no indictment.

“Mr. Pierce acted under a stressful situation to save what he thought was the life of a teammate,” he said, adding, “Mr. Pierce did not ask for sympathy. Mr. Pierce asked that the grand jury weigh the facts because the facts are sufficient to demonstrate that Mr. Pierce committed no impropriety.”

Then, without a word, Pierce dashed like a deer into a waiting Town Car.

It was not known when the grand jury will make its decision.

It was clear Pierce is bound for training camp. And his computer.
