NYPD hunting 4 more bikers in SUV attack

The NYPD is hunting four more bikers in the heinous attack on a driver chased up the West Side Highway and beaten to a pulp in front of his terrified family, law-enforcement sources told The Post Tuesday.

Detectives, who have already made nine arrests in the case, have spent hours poring over video footage and have called in experts to pinpoint the makes and models of the motorcycles the men were riding during the Sept. 29 assault in Washington Heights, sources said.

Investigators then cross-referenced the identified bikes with the owners of such motorcycles throughout the New York area, according to police sources.

One of the motorcycles involved in the search is a unique $25,000 BMW, while the three others are priced between $12,000 and $13,000 and are so common that there are approximately 300 local registered owners for each, The Post has learned.

Cops have a long list of potential suspects, say sources, who add that the search has been an exhaustive process.

“They are in the beginning stages of going to every address to see what they can learn,” said one law-enforcement source. “It’s been crazy.”

The 33-year-old SUV driver, Alexian Lien, was surrounded by the biker mob as he was driving his wife and young daughter in their black Ranger Rover near 125th Street in Harlem on the late-September afternoon.

During an ensuing confrontation, the bikers smashed the SUV with their helmets and slashed its tires with a knife.

Lien peeled away, running over several bikers, one of whom was critically injured. A swarm of angry motorcyclists then chased Lien northbound on the West Side Highway for more than 50 blocks.

Due to his badly damaged tires, Lien was forced to exit at 178th Street, where the assailants stopped his SUV, ripped him out of the vehicle and savagely beat him in front of his terrified family.

The bikers already under arrest — including career criminal Reginald Chance, 37 — have been hit with various charges.

Several cops were among the dozens of bikers who took part in the rally, which kicked off in Brooklyn. But only one — undercover Detective Wojciech Braszczok, 32 — has been charged in connection with the assault.

Sources said authorities are contemplating arresting a 10th biker who was spotted by a witness pummeling Lien, but who was not caught on video.
