He has no hands, but hate preacher Abu Hamza al-Masri has become a regular pen pal to a Manhattan federal judge.
The terror defendant recently submitted his second self-written note to Manhattan federal judge Katherine Forrest in the past two weeks – the latest saying he disagrees with his lawyers’ request to ban any mention of Osama bin Laden or the 9/11 attacks at his upcoming terror trial.
The one-eyed, hook-handed terror lover wrote that he’s in “total agreement with the government regarding their right” to raise “issues such as 9/11” during his April 14 trial.
Al-Masri — who penned the two-page, March 6 letter in his best cursive writing from his Metropolitan Correctional Center cell using a special prosthesis for writing — also confided that he “thought it is more appropriate and orderly to write a letter than to try and raise my half arm” to get Forrest’s attention during the next court conference.
He got his wish on Thursday. Forrest sided with the government — and him — by rejecting Al-Masri’s lawyers’ request to prohibit bin Laden or 9/11 from being raised during the trial.
Al-Masri – who is charged with setting up a terrorist training camp in Oregon, among other terror-related crimes – wrote the note using his now-preferred name “Mostafa Kamel Mostafa.”
He also told Forrest that he “will be testifying (God willing)” in his own defense during the trial.
