Getting digs in at Dave

Fellow talk-show funnyman Jay Leno skewered former late night rival David Letterman on his NBC show last night.

Leno treated Letterman like any other scandal-ridden celebrity as he cracked wise about the sex scandal engulfing the “Late Show” host.

“If you came here for sex with a talk show host, you came to the wrong place,” Leno said to start his monologue at 10 p.m.

He later said: “I was once the victim of a plot. How do you think I wound up at 10 p.m.?”

Jimmy Fallon also took a shot at Letterman in the monologue on his NBC show.

“There’s a new book out called ‘Why Women Have Sex’ that says there are 237 reasons why women have sex,” he said. “And folks, Letterman knows the top 10.”

Conan O’Brien wasn’t as brave. He didn’t mention the scandal during his monologue on “The Tonight Show.”

And when guest Drew Carey said, “Man I would hate to be across from Letterman with all that sex stuff going on,” O’Brien only said “No comment.”
