Grand designs

Is your home in need of a spring makeover? Get inspired by good design at these events, which kick off today and go through the weekend.

Architectural Digest Home Show

Find just about everything imaginable for the home under one roof, with 300 exhibitors touting the latest in furniture, lighting, accessories, flooring and more. Don’t miss the 1,600-square-foot “model apartment,” decked out with chic Ligne Roset pieces. Today is for the trade and VIPs only, but starting Friday, everyone can take advantage of one-on-one design consultations by HomePortfolio.com, taste celebrity chef creations at the Culinary Pavilion and climb inside an Airstream tricked out in leather. Fri. to Sun. pass, $25. Pier 94, 12th Ave. at 55th St.; archdigesthomeshow.com

Dining by Design

This mash-up of interior design, art, architecture and fashion results in spectacular tabletops from the likes of David Rockwell, Vicente Wolf and Tracy Reese. The only requirement? People actually have to be able to eat at them — a seat at the Monday gala dinner (co-chaired by Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber) will set you back $500. Less expensive is the “Table Hop & Taste,” where you can nibble on treats from top NYC eateries and purveyors while feasting your eyes on the delish installations (Sun., 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., $60). Events benefit DIFFA, Design Industries Foundation Fighting AIDS. Pier 94, 12th Ave. at 55th St.; diffa.org

Go Green Expo

Celebs are coming out of the salvaged woodwork for this event, which showcases eco-friendly products and services. Check out speakers Matthew Modine, Mariel Hemingway and green guru Ed Begley Jr., along with 200-plus exhibitors. Weekend pass, $25. Pier 92, 12th Ave. at 55th St.; gogreenexpo.com
