Keith Haring by House of Field

They say the best things are worth the wait, and in the case of Keith Haring by House of Field, this old adage proves to be true. After a year’s worth of conceptualizing this homage collection to Haring and his style, inspired fashionista, Sushi (yes, as in the type of cuisine), is having his night. He served up an eye-popping collection exploding with sequined dresses and tops, studded bras, ruffled ankle socks, printed harem-pant bodysuits and a killer jewelry collaboration with fashion crowd favorite, Noir.

The best part? There’s no six-month wait for any of these goodies. All are available at the Patricia Field boutique starting this week.

And even though Patricia Field, the legendary name behind the House of Field empire, claimed to solely be the “grandma” overseeing this collection, she was clearly the Queen of the Night. Clad in all black, her mood was light and festive – much like the rest of the party. But when asked about the death of Alexander McQueen, she zipped her lips and gestured towards her right arm, where she had tied one of McQueen’s signature black skull-printed scarves. One of the sweeter tributes, indeed.
