Skater barely avoids wardrobe malfunction

Just imagine if she had won gold.

Russian speedskater Olga Graf was celebrating a surprising bronze-medal finish in the women’s 3,000 meters on Sunday and started unzipping her racing suit — at first not realizing she had nothing on underneath.

Graf, 30, got down to the bellybutton before becoming aware of the potential embarrassment and covering up with a sheepish smile during her warm-down lap.

The Netherlands’ Ireen Wust won the gold in the event and went to the Holland Heineken House to enjoy the victory. She even got a visit and congratulations from Russian President Vladimir Putin.

“I got a cuddle from him,” Wust told Dutch national broadcaster NOS, according to the AP.

“He congratulated me and asked if everything was OK in Russia and I congratulated him on (Russian speedskater) Olga Graf, of course, for her third place (in the 3,000 meters). He was happy to see me, but then he had to leave again. But I cuddled him.”
