Brooklyn landlord charged in tenant’s killing

A Brooklyn landlord has been charged in the shooting death of her 55-year-old tenant.

Jacqueline Wesley-Rosa pleaded not guilty at her arraignment Friday on murder and weapon charges. Prosecutors say Wesley-Rosa fatally shot Patricia Wilson in September.

Neighbors have said the women had argued for years over rent and other issues.

Lawyers for Wesley-Rosa said the evidence shows she did not commit any crime. They declined to elaborate.

The 49-year-old is being held without bail. If convicted of murder, she faces 25 years to life in prison.
