VIDEO: A-Rod booed loudly at Super Bowl

Alex Rodriguez was booed two months before baseball season starts.

The Yankees third baseman was shown on the video boards in the first quarter of Sunday’s Super Bowl, being fed popcorn by Cameron Diaz.

Rodriguez, who was traded by the Rangers to the Yankees seven years ago, was booed loudly enough by the crowd in Arlington, Texas, that it could be heard on the FOX broadcast.

“Alex Rodriguez, Cameron Diaz,” FOX’s Joe Buck said. “I’m sure Alex was thrilled we just put the camera on him at that moment, being fed popcorn.”

The boos followed before the next play. The Rangers defeated the Yankees in last year’s ALCS, and team executives have traded insults since.
