Just how many women can Dominique Strauss-Kahn juggle?
Hours before he allegedly sexually assaulted a maid in his Manhattan hotel suite, the randy Frenchman had an alleged rendezvous in the very same room with a mystery lady identified by sources as his secret “girlfriend” — who also happens to be married.
The gal pal works in the Big Apple banking world, sources told The Post. She’s been dating the married Strauss-Kahn, 62, for some time, they added.
The woman was caught on surveillance video at the Sofitel hotel with Strauss-Kahn just before 1:30 a.m. on May 14. They got on an elevator and took it up to his floor.
The woman left some time later. The 32-year-old maid entered Strauss-Kahn’s suite later that morning — and claims she was attacked around noon.
After the then-IMF boss was taken into custody on the maid’s complaint, the Manhattan DA’s Office sought to interview DSK’s alleged girlfriend — but she flat-out refused.
The maid, an immigrant from the African nation of Guinea, claims a naked Strauss-Kahn surprised her when she went into the suite, grabbed her and then forced her to perform oral sex on him.
Strauss-Kahn’s DNA was allegedly found at the scene. His lawyers have suggested that any sexual contact with the maid would have been consensual.
Strauss-Kahn’s hotel hookup with his alleged girlfriend was discovered by investigators when they began reviewing hours of surveillance videotape.
A Manhattan District Attorney’s Office spokeswoman declined to comment on the woman seen with Strauss-Kahn. Benjamin Brafman, one of Strauss-Kahn’s lawyers, also declined to comment.
Strauss-Kahn is currently living in a $50,000-a-month TriBeCa townhouse with his wife, American-born journalist Anne Sinclair, as he awaits what he expects will be the outright dismissal of charges that he assaulted the maid.
The charges are expected to be thrown out because of recently disclosed questions about the woman’s credibility.
Sources have said Manhattan DA Cyrus Vance Jr., will have to drop the case because of revelations that the maid lied about being previously gang-raped, misstated her movements right after the alleged attack by Strauss-Kahn and made false statements on her tax returns. Vance, however, has not made his decision yet.
A rift between prosecutors and the maid’s lawyer, Kenneth Thompson, began early in the investigation, The Wall Street Journal reported.
Thompson said prosecutors yelled at his client when he let her be interviewed without him in early June. Thompson wouldn’t let prosecutors interview her again until June 28.
Meanwhile, French prosecutors yesterday opened a preliminary investigation into allegations that Strauss-Kahn tried to rape French writer Tristane Banon, 32, in 2003.
Strauss-Kahn’s lawyers called Banon’s claims “imaginary” and threatened to sue her for defamation.
But Banon’s lawyer said the case was based on more than “her word versus his.”
