A chastened Anthony Weiner yesterday made his return to the airwaves with a radio interview on ObamaCare — his first since resigning from Congress in disgrace more than a year ago.
“I still have regrets,” Weiner said during an interview on WNYC. “I paid a very high price . . . As I said when I resigned, I feel great regrets for the people that I’ve let down.”
In between changing his 6-month-old’s diapers, the scandal-scarred ex-congressman broke his self-imposed silence to talk about Thursday’s Supreme Court ruling on ObamaCare.
Though most of his appearance was focused on President Obama’s health-care plan, the real purpose is for Weiner to begin rolling out his return to public life, sources told The Post.
The moves come after months of discussion between Weiner and his wife, top Hillary Rodham Clinton aide Huma Abedin, about the best way to pull off a comeback.
