Anthony: Woodson will remain coach after All-Star break

NEW ORLEANS — — The Knicks will reconvene after the All-Star break for a Monday night practice in Memphis. And Carmelo Anthony guaranteed beleaguered coach Mike Woodson will run it. Knicks owner James Dolan will be on Beale Street with his team, too

“Do I think he’ll be fired?’’ Anthony said. “We got practice in Memphis Monday and Woody will be there. Plain and simple.’’

There has been speculation that after the loss to the Kings on Wednesday, Dolan would pull the plug on Woodson during the break. Dolan was already irate over the recent loss to the Bucks.

Woodson had guaranteed he would be walking in Memphis after the break, but for how much longer remains to be seen. Dolan is in New Orleans for All-Star Weekend — as a speaker at the NBA tech summit — and had planned the Memphis trip ahead of time. The Knicks face the Grizzlies on Tuesday. They are staging the practice in Memphis partly to make it more convenient for Anthony, rookie Tim Hardaway Jr. and Dolan to join the team.
