A Manhattan mom was charged with felony assault Friday after she beat her 3-year-old daughter inside a homeless shelter – leaving the tot with cuts and bruises on her eye and neck, court papers state.
Krystle Reyes, 28, was arrested Thursday after cops noticed a laceration and bruising to the girl’s right eye, bruising to her arm, and reddish marks on the back of her neck, court papers state.
The mean mom told the responding cop that, “She popped the victim in the face and that [the girl] was crying after the defendant did that,” the court documents state.
The assault took place inside the Clinton Family Inn, a homeless shelter on West 49th Street.
Reyes was charged with assault in Manhattan criminal court.
