Johnny Wonderlic: Manziel tops all QBs on intelligence test

Just call him Johnny Wonderlic.

According to several reports, Johnny Manziel thrived in the intelligence test given to players at the NFL Combine, scoring the highest of any of the top quarterbacks in the 2014 draft class.

The former Texas A&M star scored a 32. The honor for the highest QB score reportedly goes to Cornell passer Jeff Matthews with a 40. Matthews is vying to be a late-round pick. First-round probables Blake Bortles (28) and Teddy Bridgewater (20) trailed behind.

Manziel’s 32 tops the scores of Peyton Manning or Russell Wilson, last season’s Super Bowl quarterbacks.

Dan Marino managed only a 15, and he went on to enjoy a Hall of Fame career. Ryan Fitzpatrick has the highest score of all time, with a 48, and the Texans quarterback has yet to win a playoff game.
