Loopy Lindsay Lohan borrowed a $1,750 ballroom gown to wear to a Fashion Week gala, but when she returned the designer dress, it was chopped down to a tattered miniskirt.
The troubled 26-year-old “Mean Girls” actress confessed she had ripped the hem of the gown while out clubbing after the amfAR AIDS foundation event (pictured) at Cipriani’s on Feb. 6, a source told The Post.
A friend with Lohan borrowed scissors from a club bouncer and assisted in the on-the-spot alteration, turning the classy Theia gown into hooker couture (pictured).
“I love Lindsay. I’d work with her again. But this can’t happen again. No more cut dresses,” said celebrity stylist Phillip Bloch, who brokered the deal to get the cash-strapped starlet something fancy to wear.
“It’s appalling that it was cut in half,” said a Theia rep.
