Police yesterday were searching for a gang of violent creeps wanted in a series of robberies at the 174th Street/Grand Concourse subway station in The Bronx.

The gang of toughs, which police say could number as many as eight men, attacked their victims entering the station in the dark of night.

The men approached their victims, beat them and took money and cellphones, cops added.

The brutal attacks began the day after Christmas when a 37-year-old man entered the station and was immediately put in a choke hold by one of the thugs while the others beat him and swiped cash and a cellphone.

In another incident, on Jan. 19, a 23-year-old woman was approached by seven thugs, choked, robbed and thrown down a flight of stairs.

On Jan. 10, a 32-year-old man was punched in the face and robbed.

Police described one of the suspects as a black male, 17 to 20 years old, 5-foot-9 and about 160 pounds, wearing a denim jacket.

One other was described as a Hispanic male, 20 to 25 years old, 5-foot-9 with a medium build. He was last seen wearing a hoodie.
