Upstate pregnant jail guard charged in inmate ‘rape’

A female correction officer was arrested and charged with rape yesterday after it was discovered that she had been impregnated by an inmate in an upstate facility, a published report said.

Tyshinia Love Brewster, 39, of Poughkeepsie, allegedly had a sexual relationship with a prisoner at the Downstate Correctional Facility in Fishkill, The Poughkeepsie Journal reported.

Brewster was charged with third-degree rape, a felony, and official misconduct, a misdemeanor.

She was slapped with the felony rap because an inmate cannot legally consent to sex.

Brewster is believed to be six months’ pregnant. The inmate has been moved to another facility, according to the report.

Police believe she had been sexually involved with the inmate since 2010.

Earlier this month, Nancy Gonzalez, a prison guard at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, was busted for becoming pregnant by imprisoned cop killer Ronell Wilson.

Wilson killed two officers on Staten Island in 2003.
