The What: If nothing else, this collection showed Vera Wang’s skill for mastering uncommon elegance. Some styles displaying just that were origami petal skirts and belted opera coats with tented backs, but the best examples were sculptured silhouettes of sleeveless coats and dresses with exaggerated armholes that hit below the hip, all allowing contrasting fabrics and textures to peek through.
The Highlight: Oh, how we love sparkles, and Vera delivered on that in a few ultra violet sequin numbers that caused the audiences eyes to widen with excitement.
The Takeaway: People really do need to wear more Vera Wang off the wedding aisle.
