Woman arraigned for kicking police dog in mouth, breaking its teeth

A cop-hating woman was arraigned this afternoon for kicking an NYPD K-9 in the mouth and broke his teeth, cops said.

Bear, a 6-year-old German Shepard and his partner Officer Vincent Tieniber, 36, had come to the platform of the 59th Street station to help break up a fight between four women yesterday morning.

When transit cop Officer Rafael Diaz tried to help a 19-year-old woman being choked by another teen, Ravenia Matos-Davis, 22, allegedly pushed him and screamed that she hates cops.

When Bear and Tieniber arrived at the scene, Matos-Davis allegedly kicked Bear in the mouth, cracking his two teeth and chipping two others. She also allegedly cuffed his snout, police said.

“You know he’s hurt, but he holds up well,” said Tieniber, who lives in Suffolk County with his partner. “He has a high pain tolerance. You know he’s hurt, but he holds up well. He’s taught to protect me first.”

Tiber sprained his wrist while handcuffing the enraged woman. After she was busted, Matos-Davis went berserk and kept slamming her head against the cop car.

The dog was treated at the Animal Medical Center in the Upper East Side—and had $2000 in damage to his teeth, authorities said.

Bear will return to the NYPD on Wednesday, police said. Tieniber was treated and released from Beth Israel Medical Center yesterday.

Matos-Davis was charged with injuring a police animal, disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, and obstructing administration, cops said. Bail was set at $5,000 in cash.
