Hamptons mom busted for bashing babysitter after she tried to keep her from driving drunk: cops

A Hamptons mom of two was busted for DWI after brawling with a babysitter — who tried to keep her from driving drunk with her child, authorities said.

Laura Bowery-Falco — a former US equestrian team rider who now trains young riders at the Sea Aire horse stable in Watermill – was banned from seeing her kids after being hauled into Southampton town court on charges of aggravated DWI, child endangerment and harassment.

Bowery-Falco allegedly beat up her 20-year-old nanny July 11 as the young woman held the horsewoman’s 14-month old daughter in her arms, NBC News reported. The nanny, who had not been publicly identified, reportedly thought her boss was too drunk to get behind a wheel. That’s when Bowery-Falco allegedly grabbed the nanny’s hair, pulled her to the ground and tried to punch the babysitter in the face, police said.

The enraged Bowery-Falco – with her baby in the car – then sped away and drove to her mother’s nearby home, leaving the nanny in her dust.

Once there, cops saw her getting out of the car, determined she was drunk and arrested her, authorities said.

Her lawyer, Ed Burke, Jr. noted that nobody saw Bowery-Falco actually drive the car.

Bowery-Falco has also been ordered to stay away from the nanny, who reportedly quit after the incident.
