Facebook ‘kill’ over breakup

The alleged killer husband accused of posting a picture of his wife’s bullet-riddled corpse on Facebook admitted he opened fire after she promised she was “leaving him,” cops said.

Derek Medina, 31, and doomed wife Jennifer Alfonso, 26, had argued violently in their South Miami townhouse, with Alfonso pulling a knife and punching him, he told cops, according to arrest papers released as Medina was ordered held without bail and put on suicide watch yesterday.

The arrest papers were his second confession — his first allegedly came soon after the slaying, when he posted the photo of Alfonso’s corpse along with the words: “I’m going to prison or death sentence for killing my wife. Love you guys. Miss you guys. Take care. Facebook people you’ll see me in the news.”

Also yesterday, the victim’s former co-workers at a Miami Denny’s told the Miami Herald that Alfonso often came to work with bruises she blamed on her husband. “She would say he was going to change,” remembered Cathy LeBella. “She was in love with him.”The couple’s 10-year-old daughter, who witnessed the slaying, is staying with family members, officials said.
