Bus driver arrested after allegedly beating up cabbie

An off-duty MTA bus driver was arrested for stiffing a cabbie — and then beating him up, authorities said Sunday.

MTA employee Jamel Allen, 35, hailed the livery hack near the corner of Riverdale and Rockaway avenues in Brownsville, Brooklyn, around 3:30 a.m. Sunday and asked to be driven to an unspecified location, cops said.

But after traveling about 15 blocks, an argument erupted inside the car, and Allen attempted to get out near Sutter Howard avenues and refused to pay, sources said. When the driver tried to stop him, Allen slugged the cabbie, causing him to suffer a swollen lip and a bloody nose, cops said.

Allen was arrested a short time later and charged with theft of services and assault.
