‘Junk yard’ drive-in flicks

Queens is getting a “drive-in” movie theater next month — but don’t bring your own cars.

The New York Hall of Science Museum in Flushing Meadow Park is hosting the outdoor theater for 17 days using reclaimed and recycled materials — including salvaged junkyard cars in which patrons can sit.

The Empire Drive-In, which runs from Oct. 4-20, will feature such science-themed titles as “Reptilicus and Dr. Goldfoot and the Bikini Machine.” and “Spaceship Earth: Visions, Forecasts, and the Future that Never Was.”

Oct. 18 is bicycle night, and movie lovers can pedal their way into the drive-in for an evening of bicycle films including the 1980s racing classic “Breaking Away.”
