‘24’ to film in the UK

Jack Bauer’s return to series TV will be filmed overseas.

“24: Live Another Day,” Fox’s reboot of the iconic series starring Kiefer Sutherland, will be set in Europe and will shoot in London. It’s slated to premiere next year.

“24 has always had such a global sensibility,” star and executive producer Kiefer Sutherland said in a statement, according to deadline.com. “But to be able to tell this intense ‘24’-style story with the beauty of Europe’s history and architecture as the backdrop is going to be fascinating.”

Evan Katz, one of the the “Live Another Day” co-showrunners — and also an executive producer — said the new show will begin four years after viewers last left Jack.

“Four years ago, we left Jack a fugitive from justice and we’re going to pick him up four years later in London,” Katz said, according to the deadline report.

“24” ended its original eight-season run in May 2010. In addition to Sutherland — reprising his role as Bauer — the show will bring back fan favorite Chloe O’Brian (Mary Lynn Rajskub), Jack’s loyal co-worker inside CTU who appeared on the series for a good part of its run.
