‘Black Box’

Dr. Catherine Black (Kelly Reilly) is a brilliant neuroscientist who hides her bipolar condition from her colleagues in the new medical drama “Black Box.” She is addicted to the highs, which occasionally throw a curveball to the people in her world. The grande dame on board is Vanessa Redgrave, who plays Black’s shrink.
‘Last Week Tonight with John Oliver’
Premieres Sunday at 11 p.m. on HBO
“The Daily Show” alum John Oliver — who won rave reviews filling in for Jon Stewart last summer — debuts his own half-hour satirical show. The British host promises to bring TV viewers “breaking news on a weekly basis,” looking at the week that was in news, politics and current events.
