Judge scoffs at slasher ‘Basketball Wives’ star’s ‘celebrity’

A Manhattan judge was not impressed by the so-called “celebrity” of two-bit reality TV personality Rashidah Ali in court today when she testified — in an effort to skirt a $550,000 fine — that she was not properly served with a lawsuit by a SoHo bouncer who says she slashed him.

“Basketball Wives” and “Real Housewives of Atlanta” “star” Ali also bills herself as a shoe-broker-to the stars.

But Judge Ira Gammerman had no clue that he had a semi bold-faced name in his courtroom.

“The defendant is actually a little bit of a celebrity,” Ali’s attorney Olivera Medenica, told the judge.

“She is?” Gammerman said with raised eyebrows. “The fame escapes me.”

Then Ali piped up, “I am a TV personality on a few different realty shows. Most currently, ‘Love & Hip Hop on VH1.’”

The seasoned judge quipped, “I guess I missed that show.”

After two cops testified that Ali had told them she was instructed by her lawyer to not accept legal documents, Ali directly contradicted the sworn statements that they read from patrol books.

“I never said that to the police officers,” Ali insisted, batting her fake eyelashes.

“I see. Ok,” Gammerman said.

“You have no idea how that got into their memo book?” the judge pressed.

“No, that never happened,” she repeated.

Gammerman ruled that based on his evaluation of the witnesses’ credibility Ali was “well aware she was being served with papers.”

Ali — who’s shoe line has been favored by the likes of Alicia Keys and Kim Kardashian — teetered out of court on three-inch stilettos.

Her attorney is deciding whether to appeal Gammerman’s decision. If she does not challenge the judgment her adversary will be able to collect the fine.

The New Jersey resident was hit with the money judgment after failing to attend court appearances in a $10 million civil lawsuit filed against her by Greenhouse bouncer Joe Wright.

Wright’s attorney, Paul Edelstein, said he was able to garnish $300 from Ali’s TV appearances, but then she hired a lawyer and claimed she didn’t know about the suit.

Felony assault charges against Ali for the Greenhouse slashing were dropped earlier this year.
