WATCH: Eagles WR uses N-word in angry tirade at Kenny Chesney concert

Being angry and ready to start a brawl at a concert is bad enough behavior for a pro athlete. Using hateful speech takes it to a whole different level.

Eagles wide receiver Riley Cooper dropped the N-word in a rage during a recent Kenny Chesney show at Lincoln Financial Field before going up on stage with teammates and coach Chip Kelly. The mini-tirade was caught on video, which was obtained by crossingbroad.com.

“I will jump that fence and fight every n—– here, bro,” Cooper appears to say.

He then slapped away the arm of a friend trying to restrain him. It doesn’t seem like the incident escalated and it’s unclear what prompted the words.

Cooper, a University of Florida grad like disgraced former Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez, apologized for the remarks Wednesday on Twitter. He was fined by the team for the transgression.

“I am so ashamed and disgusted with myself,” he tweeted. “I want to apologize. I have been offensive. I have apologized to my coach, [owner] Jeffrey Lurie, [general manager] Howie roseman and to my teammates. I owe an apology to the fans and to this community. I am so ashamed, but there are no excuses. What I did was wrong and I will accept the consequences.”

Lurie released a statement saying: “We are shocked and appalled by Riley Cooper’s words. This sort of behavior or attitude from anyone has no role in a civil society. He has accepted responsibility for his words and his actions. He has been fined for this incident.”

Cooper, 25, is expected to compete for the Eagles’ starting wide receiver job with the season-ending injury to Jeremy Maclin.

“The NFL stands for diversity and inclusion,” the league said in a statement. “Comments like this are wrong, offensive, and unacceptable.”
