Hope Solo, ex-Seahawks star Stevens in assault case day before their wedding

U.S. Soccer star Hope Solo’s fiancé Jerramy Stevens was arrested on suspicion of assaulting her just a day before their planned wedding, according to police and court reports.

The former Seattle Seahawks tight end was arrested early Monday for fourth-degree domestic violence assault, but hasn’t been charged and after a court appearance yesterday – which was their expected wedding day – a Kirkland Municipal Court judge released him, saying there was no evidence connecting Stevens to any assault.

The 31-year-old Solo is regarded as arguably the best female goalkeeper in the world. She and the 33-year-old Stevens had been in a relationship for two months before applying for a marriage license Thursday, according to the AP. They argued over whether to live in Washington or Florida after their marriage, according to court documents.

Kirkland cops responded to a disturbance at a home around 3:45 a.m. Monday involving a fight between eight people at a party, and determined there was probable cause to arrest Stevens for investigation of fourth-degree assault. They found Stevens, “who appeared to be hiding,” lying between a bed and the wall.
