Yankees minor league rosters beginning to take shape

As spring training winds to a close, all 30 major league baseball teams begin assigning the minor leaguers they have in major league camp to the organization’s various minor league affiliates. The same holds true for the Yankees, who have begun to shift some of their more notable prospects throughout their minor leagues. – Andrew Brackman, the 6-foot-10 right-hander the Yankees drafted in the first round of the 2007 First-Year Player Draft, will be making his full-season debut with Low-A Charleston.

– Wilkins De La Rossa, a left-handed reliever, will be headed to High-A Tampa.

– Mike Dunn, a left-handed reliever, Humberto Sanchez, a right-handed reliever, and Christian Garcia, a right-handed starter, are going to Double-A Trenton.

– Phil Hughes, Ian Kennedy and Kei Igawa will form 3/5ths of Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes Barre’s starting rotation, and will be joined by right-handed relievers Anthony Claggett and Steven Jackson.
