As the Crowe flies
Russell Crowe fans can get their fill of the Aussie in anticipation of his new movie “Body of Lies” by watching him promote the flick on Letterman Monday, Craig Ferguson Thursday and Regis and Kelly Friday.
The real debate: which to watch
The second presidential debate is Tuesday night, but so is the premiere of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta,” the latest in Bravo’s series on self-absorbed women with not enough to do. Debate among yourselves which one to watch and which one to DVR.

More ‘South Park’
The second half of the 12th season of “South Park” starts Wednesday on Comedy Central. Let’s hope for some of their brand of satire on the presidential race.
Thursday ‘Night Live’
Along with the premiere of Thursday’s new comedy “Kath and Kim,” NBC gives us two weeks of “SNL Weekend Update” specials — “Saturday Night Live” without all those pesky sketches. Not that “Update” isn’t timely and fun, but NBC might have considered subbing “30 Rock” for another program — one that couldn’t capitalize on an Emmy win, perhaps? At this rate, “Rock” is destined for an “Arrested Development” fate.
Who knew law enforcement had so much work
Not into comedy? CBS has Thursday covered for you with the season premiere of “CSI” and its newest show from Jerry Bruckheimer, “Eleventh Hour.” And if by the end of the episode you can distinguish it from “CSI,” “CSI: Miami,” “CSI: NY,” “Without a Trace,” “Cold Case,” “Criminal Minds” “The Unit” and “NCIS,” good for you.
Reality highs and lows
Get ready for a weekend of reality fun with Saturday’s Fox Reality 2008 Channel Really Awards, which promotes itself as “the ONLY awards show that celebrates all of the outrageous moments and personalities that reality TV has produced over the past year.” Then, settle in Sunday with the second season premiere of “Rock of Love Girls: Charm School” on VH1. And if you don’t have the time or patience to sit through either of these, no worries: I’ll betcha that Joel McHale will skewer the highlights on “The Soup.”
