PRESIDENT OBAMA’S PITCH

President Obama became the first president to throw out a ceremonial first pitch at the All-Star Game since Gerald Ford in 1978. He became the fifth president to throw out the first pitch at an All-Star Game.

He threw lefty and didn’t have much heat on the looping toss, but Albert Pujols stepped up and made the catch before the ball hit the dirt and President Obama gave a fist pump. He gave it his best shot.

On the video screen before the game the five living presidents introduced five American heroes who have made a difference in the All-Stars Among Us program.
