‘True Blood’ Premiere Kills in Ratings

Watch out Tony, there’s vampires on your tail.

“True Blood’s” second season premiere on Sunday was watched by 3.7 million viewers – making it the most watched HBO original program since “The Soprano’s” series finale.

HBO repeated the debut episode of the vampire drama, starring Anna Paquin as a mind-reader and Stephen Moyer as her blood-feasting boyfriend, again at 11 p.m. Sunday. The combined audience for both Sunday showings was 5.1 million viewers.
