That’s right, folks. WiiWare, the downloadable video game service for the (duh) Wii, is officially one year old today.
Here are a few of the current 81 worth checking out:
-Tetris Party: a new version of the classic game that also supports the Wii Balance Board
-LIT: a horror action puzzle.
-Dr. Mario Online: It’s Tetris…with pills!
-Bonsai Barber: The first-ever (and probably only ever) first-person grooming game.
Forecasting into the feature, here’s what you can expect to see on WiiWare in its second year:
-Cave Story: set in a world where a race of rabbit-like creatures runs free on a serene island.
-Icarian Kindred Spirits: About an enigmatic winged girl who descends from heaven in search of her missing friend Icarus.
-Super Meat Boy: in which a cube of raw meat (!!!) must save his princess from the clutches of evil.
-BIT.TRIP CORE: the follow-up to the well-reviewed BIT.TRIP BEAT
-Final Fantasy IV: The After Years: the sequel to Final Fantasy IV that takes place over a series of nine episodes.
