WASHINGTON — Right-hander Brian Stokes pitched well enough in a spot start against the Marlins last week to stick around as a reliever, at least until Billy Wagner returns on Monday. The Mets kept Stokes over Carlos Muniz, who was sent to Triple-A New Orleans after tonight’s 4-3 win over the Nationals to make room for John Maine to come off the DL.
