Half-a-dozen years after having to sit out the 2002 World Cup final due to yellow card suspension, Germany captain Michael Ballack has a shot at redemption, in the starting lineup for the Euro 2008 final against Spain despite a strained calf.
Meanwhile the Spaniards will be without star forward David Villa, who is the current top scorer at Euro 2008 with four goals. The Valencia striker suffered a rupture in his right leg muscle in the win over Russia.
By the way, does Ballack’s grin remind anybody else of Matt Damon?
