Reyes pulled with injury

An already crazy day for the Mets got even crazier here tonight against the Angels when leadoff hitter Jose Reyes left in the top of the first with an unspecified injury. Reyes had singled off John Lackey to open the game but pulled up lame at first base and was yanked by new manager Jerry Manuel after a lengthy discussion. Reyes, who was replaced by Damion Easley, wasn’t happy about the development and flung his helmet along the front of the dugout as he exited. 11:30 P.M. UPDATE: Reyes was taken out as a precautionary measure because of tightness in his left hamstring.
