There is a lot of information floating around about the Red Bulls’ transfer targets, and maybe even more disinformation. So here’s a roundup, to the best of my knowledge, of where they stand with Jorge Rojas, Diego Jimenez, Gabriel Cichero, Harry Kewell and Ulises de la Cruz.

As far as Liverpool’s Kewell and de la Cruz, don’t believe everything you read. Yes, the latter is leaving Reading, and yes he’s boys with Juan Pablo Angel, and yes Osorio thinks he can play. But at 34 coming off an EPL contract, he’s too old _ and probably too expensive _ for Osorio’s liking, and not on the coach’s wish-list.
