Cops probe report of suspicious powder at Crown Plaza Hotel

The NYPD is investigating reports of a suspicious powder at the Crown Plaza Hotel, according to police.

An employee was collecting an electronic room key from a guest around 10:15 a.m. on Broadway near West 48th Street. The worker was allegedly exposed to a powder, but investigators have not yet found any traces of a substance.

Emergency Service Unit responders scoured ‘Super Bowl Boulevard’ but were unable to find anything suspicious, authorities said.

The scare comes a day after letters containing a suspicious powder were mailed to five New Jersey hotels near MetLife Stadium.

Another letter addressed to Rudolph Giuliani was found at his Midtown office.

The powder was deemed harmless.
