‘View’-ish world news

Just when the cast of “The View” is in turmoil, co-host Sherri Shepherd got a new agent yesterday.

Shepherd, who came on the show five years ago with Whoopi Goldberg, jumped from CAA to ICM — a move that would not have garnered any notice if not for the news that Joy Behar is leaving the show at the end of the season and that Elisabeth Hasselbeck is reportedly being pushed out behind her.

ABC, which co-owns the show with Barbara Walters, is trying to refresh the daytime coffee klatch and, at least until now, there has been no indication that Shepherd was in any trouble.

But stars traditionally change agents after they get bad news — or suspect that bad news is coming.

Shepherd has other things going for her on TV, including hosting “The Newlywed Game” on GSN.
