NCAA tournament third-round picks (Sunday’s afternoon session)

Each game day during the NCAA tournament, the Post’s Marc Raimondi, Anthony Sulla-Heffinger and Justin Terranova will be providing you with their input for that day’s games.

For the afternoon session of Sunday’s third round, Raimondi is playing it safe.

WEST REGION – DAYTON

(2) Ohio State vs. (10) Iowa State: 12:15 p.m., CBS

Iowa State is one of the best offensive teams in the country and Fred Hoiberg is a rising star in the coaching industry. But Ohio State has a defense led by Aaron Craft and a scoring dynamo named Deshaun Thomas. They should cruise.

Prediction: Ohio State 78-63

EAST REGION – DAYTON

(1) Indiana vs. (9) Temple: 2:45 p.m., CBS

Temple has had a nice run, but like its Atlantic 10 brethren Saturday, that will come to an end. Indiana, with guys like Cody Zeller and Victor Oladipo, just have too much for the Owls to contend with.

Prediction: Indiana 75-58

SOUTH REGION – KANSAS CITY

(1) Kansas vs. (8) North Carolina: 5:15 p.m., CBS

Ah, the Roy Williams Bowl. The legendary coach’s former team (Kansas) will likely make quick work of his current team due to the presence of Jeff Withey down low.

Prediction: Kansas 80-72

SOUTH REGION – AUSTIN

(3) Florida vs. (11) Minnesota: 6:10 p.m., TNT

Minnesota was impressive in smashing a soft UCLA team in the second round, but Florida is a different animal. The Gators’ guard play, led by Kenny Boynton, will dictate the tempo and Billy Donovan’s team will roll on to the Sweet 16.

Prediction: Florida 72-61
