Three must-see games on Day 6 of the NCAA tournament

The Post highlights three games that are must-see as the NCAA tournament continues with eight games on Sunday.

(1) Kansas vs. (8) North Carolina – South Region, 5:15 p.m., CBS

Kansas should have a significant advantage here, especially inside with Jeff Withey against a soft North Carolina front line. But UNC coach Roy Williams against his former team is something to see. It should be very emotional for Williams, who earned his 700th career win when the Tar Heels beat Villanova in the second round.

North Carolina’s lone chance to win is containing Ben McLemore and having PJ Hairston go off. The latter could be a given. The sharpshooter has been absolutely fabulous in the postseason.

(12) Ole Miss vs. (13) La Salle – West Region, 7:40 p.m., truTV

Believe it or not, there are more reasons to watch this game than just Marshall Henderson. He’s just the main one. The Ole Miss sharpshooter – think of a foul-mouthed Jimmer Fredette – had 17 of his team’s 27 points in the second round to lead the Rebels past Wisconsin. Henderson’s histrionics and shot-making ability make him the most fun player in the tournament.

Plus, the winner of this game will be a somewhat of a Cinderella story, heading into the Sweet 16. Sure, Ole Miss won the SEC tournament, but no one expected the Rebels to make it past the first weekend. Same for La Salle, an also-ran in the Atlantic 10 that had to beat Boise State in the First Four.

UPSET SPECIAL

(15) Florida Gulf Coast vs. (7) San Diego State – South Region, 7:10 p.m., TBS

Yeah, them again. Florida Gulf Coast is going to the Sweet 16. Why? The Eagles have already beaten Miami and then Georgetown on Friday night in the second round. San Diego State is not as good as either of those teams and Florida Gulf Coast is playing with an incredible amount of confidence right now. Coach Andy Enfield does an excellent job.

San Diego State has some talent, led by Jamaal Franklin, but Florida Gulf Coast has many more ways to win. The Eagles are far better than a No. 15 seed.
