A self-proclaimed “black Hitler” busted for allegedly torturing his nanny thought he would see daylight Friday after posting $80,000 bail – but was immediately rearrested on a new charge and tossed back in jail.
Sherman Gamble, 54, of Manhattan, was collared last week after his grandson’s nanny claimed he beat her, pulled her hair, choked her and shoved a newspaper down her throat after holding her captive for several days.
“I am going to kill you,” he bellowed during the beatings, the nanny claimed. “You don’t know who I am. I am the black Hitler.”
The one man Gestapo had prior busts for assaulting his own child, patronizing a hooker, and illegally subletting a Section 8 residence he advertised on Craigslist for $850 a month for seven years.
The fresh charge against Gamble was not immediately clear but a source said he was on parole for the 2012 housing scam and that the new arrest is a likely violation.
The nanny eventually escaped after telling Gamble that she needed to go to a bank.
She was treated at Beth Israel Hospital for bruising, swelling and pain, sources said.
