Chick-fil-A boss, now ‘more wise,’ pushes for multiple NYC locations

He’s no chicken.

The head of Chick-fil-A who ignited a firestorm of controversy two years ago by publicly condemning gay marriage has his sights set on expansion to the Big Apple.

CEO Dan Cathy said his company is planning to open 108 new restaurants in gay-friendly cities like New York, claiming the chicken chain is now all-inclusive.

“All of us become more wise as time goes by,” the chicken king pin told USA Today. “We sincerely care about all people.”

The sudden change of heart comes as Cathy plans to expand his southern-fried franchise into like New York, Chicago and Los Angeles.

“The next big thing is urbanization,” Cathy said. “That’s where the future is heading.”

“If we can’t do it in New York, we have no business going anywhere else.”

Cathy set off a firestorm of backlash two years ago for publicly condemning gay marriage, admitting to being “guilty as charged” in voicing the franchise’s support of traditional family values.

“We are very much supportive of the family — the biblical definition of the family unit,” he told a Christian news outlet back in 2012.
