CRADLE OF AFRICA: NAMIBIAN CITIZENSHIP FOR BABY BRANGELINA

The spawn of Brangelina is healthy – and Namibian.

African officials yesterday said Shiloh Nouvel JoliePitt, the daughter of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, will be granted Namibian citizenship in accordance with local law.

“Shiloh Nouvel Jolie-Pitt will . . . be allowed to obtain Namibian citizenship if the parents should choose to do so,” said Namibia’s deputy environment and tourism minister, Leon Jooste.

Armed with her Namibian passport, the sure-tobestunning child will be able to freely enter and exit the African country, although the U.S. Embassy recommends avoiding less-traveled roads and all street demonstrations.

Yesterday, mother and child were resting peacefully at the Welwitschia Clinic in Walvis Bay, where a doctor said there were no complications during the birth.

“She is a healthy baby,” said the doctor, who requested anonymity.

Jooste confirmed that the baby was born at 1:40 a.m. local time yesterday.

“The entire procedure went according to plan, and there were no medical or other complications at all,” he said.

Security flanked the hospital yesterday, keeping salivating photographers from getting the biggest entertainment photo of the year: Brangelina and child.

Jolie is expected to remain in the hospital for the next few days before going back into hiding at a beachside Namibian resort where she, Pitt and their two adopted children have been ensconced the last two months.
