2 join Kate’s talk tryout

LEE Woodruff and former “Early Show” anchor Rene Syler are joining Kate Gosselin’s “View“-type talk show pilot, The Post has learned.

The pilot, fronted by Gosselin, the newly-single “Jon & Kate Plus 8” star, is being produced by Telepictures and will also feature Food Network star Paula Deen, according to an earlier eonline.com report.

It’s scheduled to tape Sunday in Manhattan at an undisclosed location.

(“The Tyra Banks Show,” also produced by Telepictures, tapes at Chelsea Studios on West 26th.)

The show is targeted as a look at everyday life from the perspective of working moms — an area in which both Woodruff and Syler have experience.

Woodruff is married to former “World News” anchor Bob Woodruff who, in 2006, was seriously injured by a roadside bomb in Iraq. The couple, who have four children, wrote a bestselling book, “In An Instant,” about Bob’s long recovery process. Lee is now a family and lifestyle contributor for “Good Morning America.”

Syler, 46, co-anchored “The Early Show” for four years and underwent a successful preventative double mastectomy after leaving CBS in late 2006.

A married mother of two, she wrote the book, “The Good-Enough Mother,” in 2007.
