Army guys train kids

Gettting revenge on the school bully is about to go to a whole new level.

The Cartoon Network is casting for a potential pilot of a reality series called “Going Commando,” in which 13-to-16 year old boys will be taught how “to plan and execute real life missions” by a team of former special forces soldiers.

“The team will take you through Commando boot camp where you will transform from scrawny to superhero,” reads a casting notice spotted at a Hollywood comic book store and posted on the cartoonbrew.com Web site.

Show producers are looking for teens with “real life” issues, ranging from being picked on by bullies to needing to appear in two places at once and retrieving borrowed property from friends who won’t give it back.

The teens will be taught special forces’ “spy-like maneuvers” — night vision, hydro reconnaissance, rappelling down walls — and how to use high-tech equipment to solve their problems.

The series would follow teens as they build the training facility, run drills and, finally, execute the missions.

“The young adults will be ready for anything by the time our team is done with them,” promises the casting notice, which also says that it will be “the biggest wish fulfillment reality series . . . maybe ever!”

A Cartoon Network spokesperson confirmed that the series is in development, but was still in the very early stages.
