The once-electric sex life of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie has run so cold that the couple rarely slept in the same bedroom in the past year, a source said yesterday as rumors of a split swirled.
It’s “definitely over . . . [Jolie has] driven him practically up a tree” with her wild mood swings, a source close to Pitt told “Brangelina” author Ian Halperin.
The writer predicted, “You’ll soon start to see an escalation in Brad’s drinking and pot smoking, which has gotten out of control. Brad can’t put up with her temperamental attitude.”
He said his sources confirmed that Pitt, 46, and Jolie, 34, who never married, have hired lawyers to work out a split.
Halperin said custody of the couple’s six children was the only sticking point.
“Brad Pitt is concerned for their future and wants to be a joint decision maker,” he said.
The pair has decided that, while the kids will live with Jolie, Pitt will have equal say in decisions regarding their upbringing, the author said.
Over the holidays, Pitt’s brother, Doug, 41, reportedly begged him ditch Jolie, according to The Sun in Great Britain.
“Brad’s family are being more vocal with their doubts over the relationship,” he told the paper.
And on Wednesday, a former Waldorf-Astoria maid, Anna Kowalski, told In Touch Weekly that she saw rubber sheets and sex toys in a room Jolie stayed in while working with her male dialect coach last summer.
But sources told People magazine that the breakup reports are “totally false.”
