Track star no longer ‘rack’ star

She has the medals — just not the chest to pin them on anymore.

World-champion track hurdler Jana Rawlinson of Australia says she had her breast implants removed because she feared they were interfering with her running career — and she wants to be in top shape for the 2012 Olympics in London.

Rawlinson, a two-time world champion in the 400-meter hurdles, told Woman’s Day magazine she’d spent $11,000 for the implants.

“I loved having bigger boobs, but I don’t want to short-change Australia, either,” the 27-year-old told the mag.

“Every time I raced, I panicked about whether I was letting my country down, all for my own vanity,” she said.

“I want to feel the most athletic I can, to know that I’m standing on the track in London [for the Olympics] the fittest I can be.”

But she has not ruled out the possibility of getting new implants.

“I can always get my breasts enhanced again when I finish my career,” she said. “I know there are no medals for being beautiful.”

Rawlinson has a history of changing her mind.

She announced last week she’s going to remarry her husband and manager Chris Rawlinson — just as soon as their divorce is finalized.

The couple, whose son, Cornelis, was born in 2006, has to wait until they’re officially single again because the divorce proceedings have gone too far to be stopped.
